Choreographers, contemporary dance companies and dance troupes are invited to participate in our FIDCDMX 11th Edition – Open Call. The Festival Will be held on August 2026 at the most important venues for performing arts in the city and other public and alternative venues.

Where: Mexico City, Mexico

When: August 6th to 16th, 2026.

Deadline for applications: December 30th, 2025 AT 18 HRS GMT-6

Conditions
The festival will provide accommodation and local transportation for up to 4 nights – 5 days for the selected companies not residing in Mexico City.

FIDCDMX operates with limited financial resources. If selected, we encourage and support artists to establish contact with their local cultural institutions and embassies to cover transportation costs.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS DECEMBER 30th, 2025, at 18 HRS GMT-6

The selected companies and artists will be notified by email and social media on February 2nd, 2026.

***If you need notification sooner due to fundraising, please let us know in advance at the application.

The Festival will take place from August 6th to 16th, 2026.

Participants must adapt to the technical conditions and schedules provided by the venues. Nonetheless, the festival staff will do their best to meet the technical requirements of the proposed pieces.

The selected pieces will only be accepted within the program based on the information provided in the form. In case of any changes, your participation will be subject to the approval of the corresponding committee.

Requirements:
Provide a full video link to the dance piece you are applying with (works in progress will not be eligible).
*Only Youtube and Vimeo links will be accepted. Please ensure that this link is available from the moment of the application until the publication of the results. Also, be aware of providing us with a valid password if the video is private.

A link with 5 to 10 pictures of the piece **Google Drive, Dropbox or similar. WeTransfer files will not be accepted.
A brief Bio or CV of the choreographer or dance company applying.
A short description of the piece.
