DANCETOPIA Symposium 2026 seeks artists with performance and/or workshop offerings on the themes: Authenticity & Artificiality.

The DANCETOPIA Symposium is an annual assembly collectively organized by a team of curators who work as artists in their regular practice. It is a platform for the presentation of body based performances, mutual education between artists of different generations and demographics, as well as a place for discussion between both the artistic and wider public.

In 2026, DANCETOPIA enters its third year, returning to the city of Prague after 2025’s wilderness residency format. We orient the 2026 symposium around the entanglements present between authenticity and artificiality.

What are we looking for:
Workshops, Lectures, Discussions, and Performances for presentation in the 2026 program.

What we offer:
✹ Artist fee (2000 CZK per person per workshop/lecture/discussion formats, 3000 CZK per person participating in a performance work).
✹ Flat rate for travel to and from Prague plus accommodation for the weekend.
✹ Technical set up in theatre and a short rehearsal on the day of your scheduled performance of up to 2 hours (negotiable based on needs and availability of performance and venue).
✹ One meal voucher per person on your performance day.
✹ Access to the full weekend program of DANCETOPIA including workshops, lectures, discussions, and dance-floor sharing.
✹ Marketing and social media representation of your work.
✹ Becoming a part of the ever growing DANCETOPIA family for future gatherings, exchanges, and networking opportunities.
