260503-Applications Open For The 19th Edition Of Cortoindanza, International Call For Short Choreographic Works

Dead end: 03/05/26

Applications are open until May 3, 2026 for the call for choreographic writing Cortoindanza – Live Choreographies in Short Form that supports artistic research through the creation and production of choreographic writing in a short format, a “Corto” lasting no more than 10 minutes.

Where: Tersicorea Toff, Cagliari, Italy

When: Until May 3 2026

Deadline for applications: Until May 3 2026

The project supports artistic research through the creation and production of choreographic writing in a short format, a “Corto” lasting no more than 10 minutes, exploring multidisciplinary fields including contemporary dance, circus arts, and dance theatre, with the aim of promoting encounters and dialogue among outstanding practitioners of artistic languages.

Thanks to the careful work of an International Artistic Observatory composed of choreographers, programmers, critics, and representatives of various organizations, institutions, festivals, and artistic residencies, seven choreographic writing projects will be selected and presented during a four-day festival taking place in Sardinia from June 25 to 28, 2026.

Following the days dedicated to the new proposals, the Festival will continue in July with the touring of the authors and choreographic works that received artistic merit awards in the previous edition. Their return to Sardinia one year later, after completing different phases of residency, growth, and professional development, represents a new moment for exchange and public presentation of the artistic paths of consolidation and development.
