We are pleased to announce that is now open the call for entries for the SARACOTEIO – Screendance program, an initiative of the Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival, in partnership with the Uabá Festival of Cape Verde and the ROLLOUT Dance Film Festival of Macau.
This program, aimed at promoting dance videos and films dedicated to the performative body in the community of Portuguese-speaking countries, integrates the three partner festivals on the following dates:
⦁ September 21 to 25, 2026 – Uabá Festival (Santiago Island, Cape Verde)
⦁ September 25 to October 11, 2026 – 34th Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival (Almada, Portugal)
⦁ December 2026 – ROLLOUT Dance Film Festival (Macau)
Authors and/or producers of dance films and videos, natives and/or residents of Portuguese-speaking countries/regions are invited to submit their work proposals. The deadline for submission is April 30th, 2026, and those interested should use the online form, available here*.
